The main purpose of this project was to dive deep into making my first Online Game and to explore more of the Gameplay Ability System. I also really like Tower Defence Games so normally when I explore a new Game Engine, I like to make a Tower Defence!
This is a very bare bones game, but my goal was to make a somewhat "finished" project that mainly showcased Online Connection, as my goal was to have two people connect via a P2P connection, and for this I used Epic Online Services and was my first time making a Networked supported Game!
This is a slice of Gameplay of the Project, as mentioned its purely bare bones and main purpose was to perform Online Gameplay!
Online Gameplay does work, but its a small workaround as I need to use my developer account and personal account as they are linked in Epic's Online Services, and then I can join a match!
Enemies spawn in waves, their are also two tower types, one is a standard tower and another is a freeze tower, each of which can be upgraded!
Everything is replicated and working, but their is only 3 waves as I gave myself a limit of 8 months otherwise I never would of finished this.

This was my first solo project making an Online Networked Game so a lot of this was me learning about Replication in Unreal Engine, learning about NetMulticast, Server and Client functions as well as testing on both Client and Standalone (Server).
It provided a fantastic base for all my future projects as all the mistakes I learnt from in this project, I have applied better solutions to future projects I am currently working on.

This was my first project I used the Gameplay Ability System in without the use of a tutorial, the Tower Abilities, Damage and Effects are all controlled by Gameplay Abilities and Gameplay Effects.
The Players Home Base health is controlled via an Attribute Set, same with the Movement Speed, Health, Damage and Widgets of both the Enemies and Players Base.
Overall this was a big learning project as there was a lot of firsts involved but I am really proud of how it turned out.
